Anyone have one? I have an opportunity to buy one for $9500 (asking), with a loader, box scraper, and rock rake. 73 hours. 2004 model.

Any recommendations? This would strictly be used on my property. TIA. :cheers:
 
I have a shovel. And a rake. I paid something under $40 for both.

Parts are expensive and you usually have to wait till they come in from Japan. We only have one Kubota left, and when it dies (if it dies:rolleyes::D), we are replacing it with a Deere.

Is that a super (as in awesome) sub compact tractor or super sub compact (as in mini)??? That's the thing......I don't know if it'll do what I want. Likely, I'd just be making garden beds, smoothing the gravel road down into our pasture, pushing snow, maybe snaking some trees out of the woods, possibly mowing, etc, etc. Just common homeowner things.

I'm gonna call the local dealer and see what they say about this model. And I'll probably check the local JD for trade-ins and such, too. :cheers:

No wonder Dan didn't answer. HOLY crap that thing is small. I DON'T think it's gonna cut it for what I need/want. I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.......but I think I've carried things heavier than that.

Sorry I was driving so I could not answer your question. They are super small, that is why they clasify them in the super sub compact class. Yanmar used to build one to compete with it. They do not have that much of a lifting capacity as far as logs, timbers and the bucket is way small for snow removal .

I bought my used Kubota 2710 4x4 with a loader, new box scraper, used 60" flail mower, used 60" rear tine tiller and a new post hole auger with a 9" and 14" bit for $13,800. It had 350 hours on it.
 
Yeah, if your going to spend upwards of 10K then get a bigger tractor. I've had 2 kubota's and they have been great. The first one was a late 70's model 24 hp that I used for shredding and pulling things around the farm and it performed flawlessly. I recently sold it to fund my new 45 hp kubota to do more work at a faster pace. That's the problem when you have raw land. The more you clear the more you have to mow/maintain which calls for a larger shredder, bucket etc. still takes me several days to shred but we have right at a 100 acres here in S Texas and i'ms slowly removing the thick mesquite. Parts are not a problem here as there are 3 Kubota dealers within 40 miles and they are comparable if not cheaper than the Deere or anyone else. I paid 3K for the 24 hp with a shredder about 10 years ago and 11K for the 45 hp with bucket, 6' shredder, box blade and 4wd with 800 hrs on it.

:lol: Yes, they should be classed as 'super sub compact', perhaps even 'super duper sub compact'. :lol: I think lift capacity is about 500 lbs, so that's not gonna cut it.

Looks like you got a good deal on your 2710. They're out there, I'll find one now that I'm looking! :cheers:

it's a lot of money for a bx --

-- mostly because i am not a bx fan -- they remind me of modified lawn tractors that have diesel engines --

-- an L series is too big, but the B series (or its equivalent) is just right by me -- i have a b2400.

if you want to visit a forum where there's real knowledge about tractors and low drama, try here --

Yeah, but like a stray dog, I'd give it a good home. :D With a loader, huh......I may have to rethink this.
