There's no block off plate or holes in the firewall for a heater, but she does have factory power steering. I believe the LX was built 3/83 and my white FJ40 is a 5/84 with full options, heat, AC, PS and the cool plaid interior trim.

The 5/84 also has the hard handle for the side and back doors. I have the 60% bench seat with the plaid seat. Unless you have rear passengers the jump seats give a lot more room to haul stuff. Interesting the LX with forward facing rear seats appears to have a rear step? What is the bracket on the back of the smaller rear seat used for. Is that a add on speaker in the back?

Tricky part of adding heat to the LX is the duct between the blower and heater core. Rest wouldn't be to hard to source. Factory A/C is the hardest to add on.
