In my ideal world, I would have a huge garage with a small house on top of it. Basically, like a 3-4 car garage underneath with enough to accommodate 2 lifts, and then the house would be built on top of it.

It didn't occur to me that we were talking about prime time legitimate shop space.

FWIW, a year or so ago when I lost my free storage/workspace deal I looked into a basic garage (no lift, etc.) rental in a light industrial park setting where a few HDCers could go and use to wrech and BS. The rent even on that was $800. It would've taken at least half a dozen people to make the rent chip-in even remotely appealing, at least to me.
