Keyfob lock issue (1 Viewer)

2001 LX.

Symptom: Sometimes keyfob controls the locks fine. Sometimes the keyfob locks only the back doors. Sometimes the keyfob lock button doesn’t work at all.

Background that may be relevant or not: Three times times my battery drained in the past few months and each time I thought i found the culprit… dome light, OBD reader left in, and headlight in auto mode. But maybe not. In any case a new battery is in but the keyfob problem seems to persist.

What should I be looking into? Keyfob? Door locks? Fuses? Some other electrical? Thanks

Doh. Also not sure if this would be related but I just noticed my coolant temp gauge is not working. This is after 10 minutes on the highway.

The keyfob issue sounds more like the small engine inside the door lock actuator is getting "tired" if the key fob is bad then non of the locks will get the transmission and non will work.
