I have a 2006 LC. One programable key, one standard, non-programable, and one broken cut key (without electonics / head).

The programable key will work for about a day and seems to completely lose its charge. The battery is new. Visibly, there are no lights working on the key when I press any of the buttons. If I take the battery out and put it back in again, it works fine for a period of time. I am using a #2016 battery.

Once I get this resolved, I would like to either get another key or at least a fob for my non-programable key.

Thank you.

You don't explicitly say it, but guessing it's a brand new battery? If so, I'd look at the contacts in the fob, hit them with the electronics cleaner.

For the new key, get a new key cut and use a ToyotaMD fob found here.

Yes, new battery. Thank you.
