It could of been messed up by a shop along the way. A guy called me a few weeks ago about a Toyota dealership tried to install a lift, and didn’t release the set screws. Then at the end of the job, they opened the set screws all the way up and shot fluid on the muffler. They then tightened it up and sent the truck in its way. Customer found smoke coming off the muffler and the drive “felt odd.”

So who knows what “service professional” has done to it along the way. I feel like that needs to be considered more than most issues on these trucks. The amount of things I find under 200 from past work is pretty appalling.

this scenario is full fubar

Obsessive KDSS Lean Fighter here. Have tried all the tricks. Shutter valve desperado. On the GX platform, so smidge different. I installed the spacer widgets from Treaty Offroad KDSS Spacer Kit - https://www.treatyoakoffroad.com/product/kdss-spacer-kit. No idea if the geometry changes to a lifted GX apply to the LC, but I'm quite happy with the outcome. The lean is now more intermittent--probably weight (fuel) related--and there is no noticeable on-road behavior difference. However, I feel like the additional stretch I get off-road was worth the scratch. In the end, someone really smart about vehicle suspension geometry will figure this out. If you're experiencing lean frustration in a stock truck, it's probably a good time to switch to obsessing about something else. Better ROI.

I guess you didn't realize what KDSS means? Keep Dat Suspension Shifting!

I would still open the valves up again, and drive around your neighborhood a bit. Really work the fluid around. I know some will say that will damage something, but I don’t see how that is possible when jouncing the system for a minute or two. ....

Just wanted to give everyone an update on my lean situation. I finally got a chance to take Taco's advice a few days ago. I opened up the bleeder valves and took the cruiser around town. I drove probably about 5 miles on some curvy road sections with lots of turns. I didn't use any embankments to purposely flex the suspension, but I did push it pretty heavy in the corners to get as much flex as I could.

Once I got home, I closed the valves and the truck was sitting much more level. I have now been driving on it for 4 days and it is maintaining level(ish). May be talking too early, but the drive around method seemed to work for me. I'm not sure how it worked, as it would indicate that the previous owner may have somehow messed up the balance? The truck isn't lifted, and no major suspension work has visibly been completed.

Either way, I am very happy that I may have potentially saved myself a grand or so on new suspension! Thank you all for your help, and I will continue to update should it come back.
