So, I went ahead and purchased some 1.5 inch wheel spacers from Trail-Gear (very easy to deal with and super fast shipping:) ) I decided to put them on this morning before I head off to work. I drove around the block a few times and I swear the beats feels a bit more solid..........if that is even possible?? Anyway, the spacers were easy to install and look to be very good quality.

Here are some shot of before, then the next is after

I'm confused as to why you needed the spacers? You increased track width by 3", so it should feel more stable- even if only a little.

I did not need the spacers, I just wanted them so to increase the track width. And yes, it is more stable.......I was tripping out on how much more solid and stable it feels just from driving it around the block.

Very nice 4dmalamute!

I am waiting till I put my new rubber on tomorrow before I order the spacers. Tread is wider on the new stuff so I might only need 1-1 1/4". I like the fatter look, and it's nice to hear you report a more stable 'feel'.

When you get a chance, can I see a few pics of the entire rig with the spacers? From the side, or a 45 degree .. thanx.

I am running 1.25" spacers from Marlin Crawler and love them. That width was perfect for me....also with the spacers the tires stuff in the wheel well better when articulating. Congrats

Any long term ill effects from spacers? Just curious, that's all. Do the wheel bearings wear any differently?

Hey Tyler, I will take some shots for you in the next day or soo. Thanks for the compl. everyone. I am pretty damn happy with the feel, especially since I just drove it to work (20 miles) and it handled like a champ. Now I cant wait to put those 1.5 spacers on that I just purchased.......:grinpimp:

I have had 1 1/4" spacers for a couple of years now. More stable and tracks better.
Cheers,
Sean

nice pics, first thing I noticed was how much shift to the right from the lift. You might want to think about a pan-hard solution with that right tire sticking out further.

While Rick 'may' be right here, I also suspect that the angles aren't helping. In the pick of the passenger/rear tire, the camera is set further behind the 80. Whereas in the driver side he is taking the shot out from the side somewhat.

I'm heading out now to get my new stuff mounted, and will look for such a shift on my own rig. It usually tracks ever so slightly to the right, but I have assumed so far that the road's crown was guilty. I'm honestly not sure anymore how this offset axle will affect tracking .. ??

Yep total 48 nuts good excercise specially when repack birfield and rear seals :D

You only need to unbolt the spacers if you are replacing brake disks. Otherwise, you can leave them in place to do wheel bearings, Birfield, etc. They just bolt to the wheel hub, and the whole wheel hub comes off when you do those jobs.

Hey Tyler,

Here are a few shots that you asked for. If you want some more just let me know.
