Update Just picked up FJ60

well I just picked up this 87 FJ60 this evening. found it last night and went back and looked it over again and drove it. made a deal on it and drove it home. i think every gasket on it leaks a little bit but thats about it. it runs great, dont burn oil, tranny is smooth, transfer case is smooth, and NO RUST The interior is great, only stains are on the floor mats and everything else is mint to be 21years old and 157k miles. I am not crazy about the tire/wheel combo but it will do until winter. oh yeah i picked it up for $2800.

Plans are now just to replace gaskets and seals and everything else that doesnt work or is broken. no under carrage shots yet but its got a nice coating of rust proofing under it(oil)

well started replacing gaskets a couple of weeks ago. i took the valve cover off and the gaskets were completely dryrotted along with the pushrod cover. I had to clean about a 1/4" of caked on dirt and oil off the side of the motor just to get to some of the bolts on the cover. I am down to the oil pan gasket and the rear man seal and I am not looking forward to cause everything on the under carriage is covered in at least 1/4" of oil/dirt. I bought a paint scraper and have been pealing it off in chunks

on the good side is i already got some american eagle 186 wheels and going to be ordering a ome lift and 33x10.50 BFGs
