You used to be able to buy a external sat radio with a lifetime subscription and use it with the aux cable. If you got tired of having it external, buy the module and transfer the subscription to it. The unlimited feature pays for itself pretty quickly (eg 2 years). You may have to get an unregistered used one to do that now. There is probably plenty on the internet about this.

just bought an 08. Couldn't figure out what the puck was on my roof, leading edge over passenger. Then i noticed 'no shark fin'. ahh, i get it. Maybe a dealer installed XM or whatever. Call me childish, but i always thought the shark fine looked cool. even if i don't listen to satnav. Might remove the puck from the roof. i ran the VIN decoder, and it's a bit simple. But mentions "SAT Radio(Req Subscrp/Ant/Rcvr)". Also, i don't have running boards, thought those were standard. I need them more for my kids to climb in and out. Guess that's as good a reason as any to buy some rock sliders.
schit, just saw this... It's listed on the original thread somewhere. OME heavy, 23's or whatever the number is. uca's, dd, 275 70s. If i had to do over, i'd do medium. The wife gets quite a few comments or inquiries on it though. Runs like a top, aside from the one time I bombed into deep sandy wash and the whole fckn thing just turned off and stopped dead.... guess all the computers got confused. Very strange it was.
