this is the guy who I ordered the tray from.
still can't get over the quality and cost.
and getting rid of the stickers. does anyone know what solvent works well on 16 year old sticker glue?

I took the decals off my '89 BJ74 with lots of elbow grease and 3M woodgrain & strip remover and then 3M adhesive remover to remove the adhesive left behind. Be prepared for some possible paint fade...

I wouldnt use solvents - go to an auto body shop - they should have a rubber wheel that fits on a drill about 4" in diam about 3/4" wide. Smells like vanilla. Not cheap (I paid $25), but it works on fritction and will not damage your paint. Use low speed and moderate presssure. Works beautifully, but yes, you may have faded "OFFROAD" in your paint.

a high end cut and polish after the stripe is removed goes a long way... depends of course as to how faded the paint is...

For stickers and things try using a product named "Goo Gone"
Smells like citrus and does an awesome job. It kicks but.
Should be easy to find. Try Canadian tire, shoppers drug mart, Wal-mart, etc....

thanks crushers.
When I get the stickers off and some nice tube bumpers bent and welded up I will try to post some more pics. The trays are cheaper in bc then australia. I don't know how but they are. even when built in australia.
This combo will be useful. the tray sticks out 4 inches on either side of the body of the truck so hinders wheeling a bit. thinking about getting canvas top made up for it.
later

Mika,

http://ausute.com/canopies and tonneaus.html

Have a look at the tonneau cover on this page, if you can find someone to make one like that locally great, it has a canopy bow so as to tent the cover for runoff. the bow is made of steel.

I can have these made to measure in Aust and mailed to customers.
