Just drove into PHX from LA with my new LC 40th anniversary, stock locked and ready to rock. My brother lives out in LA and he drove it and did all the leg work on that side I just wired the cash flew out to pick it up. It is in excellent shape has 185K on and has had the top end and gasket done recently at a dealer in Pasadena. Needs some PM and a new set of tires. High speed shake starts at about 80 mph. I have been lurking for months and finally pulled the trigger!
Will 33's fit with stock suspension? I know I have read this somewhere but too busy and excited to go back and find it. Going to buy new skins as soon as I get it registered in the morning.
Thanks, to all on this site you have been more help than you know.:flipoff2:
I attached pics hope it works never done it before.

Welcome:flipoff2: .....before you ask anymore questions, be sure you know the most important fact: what's your credit card limit?

Congrats!! It must have been that one up for sale here on mud's classified. I am always lurking at locked 80's since I have locker-envy.

Congrats! And yes 285, 295, and 305 size tires will all fit with stock suspension.

Congrats. Sure feels good driving one home.

Congrats on the purchase, and where are the pics!:grinpimp:

Sweet! yea pictures for sure

welcome.

You probably want to spend some time in our FAQ to see what you can do with your truck. It's the sticky thread near the top titled FAQ for 80/LX450 series. We have a whole FAQ write-up on tires and different types of tires.

Well there goes another one! :flipoff2: I can scratch that one off my local 80 to buy list. :crybaby: Congratulations!

Here is another attempt at pics.

very nice, good to see another relatively "rare" 6m1 40th with lockers show up. :D

I think if you're going to do any 'wheeling around the phx area you might want to think about just going to 315/75's. I went out there with 33's and 2.5" lift and did ok...lots of rock stacking and such but to me that's also part of the fun!

Just don't get to excited and spend money on stuff you'll be putting up for sale latter on like so many of us. However, if you're like me trying to fit in a 6' grage door, its a chezzy limiting factor but one to consider.

Good score! Is that the one that was for sale from riverracerxxx

Thanks Romer I have spent at least 10 hours a week for the last month browsing the 80 tech stuff. I hope not to post up too much newb crap, don't want to get flamed. But from what I have seen that is how things go on here and I wouldn't want it any other way. So let me get all of the questions out of the way. What lift should I use heavy? med? What are the best: sliders, lifts, winches, tires, racks, front bumpers. etc. etc. etc. :grinpimp:

You are correct Brian. I jumped all over it because I lost out on a locked 94 in PHX two weeks ago.

It looked familiar. So you are the one that beat me to it! Until I get a new owner for my 40 I am just window shopping but I was doing every thing that I could to find a way to buy that one. Congratulations!

easyG,

Congrats on the purchase!

PM me if you decide to lose the taillight guards which are considered by some as "accident multipliers", I have a friend who would love to have them!

Now let the mods begin!:D
