Those are excellent numbers.

THanks, i was almost scared to do the test knowing that last summer my PHH blew and i limped to the garage instead of stopping. It didn't exactly run hot as everytime the temp needle would start above the middle mark i would stop, turnoff the truck, add water and continue on repeating as many times as necessary. I thought that i may have caused damage and would have a failure in one of the cyclinders.....but i ended up lucky! Now, i'm about to put a new valve cover gasket, new hoses, new belts, new pcv grommet, new plug wires (plugs are denso irridiums and they are only 6 months old) dizzy cap and rotor. Once i do all that, i'm going with the redline treatment to break down some of that carbon, clean the throttle body and she should run like a new truck for another 160,000 miles

Holy crap. I just bought the Sears tool and didn't think about the adapter possibly getting stuck in the hole. I suppose I can lok-tite them together.

I used the Sears tool, which worked fine until the adapter got stuck in the #1 cyl hole. Luckily I was able to get it out.

Those are excellent numbers.

Can you buy an extension/adaptor separately?

A pair of long needle nose pliers work well if you need to retrieve the compression tester hose when stuck. Remember, you don't need to tighten the hose to anywhere near the torque of a spark plug.
