The wind has been blowing 25-35 all afternoon. Not sure how tomorrow will be, but you might want to think about possibilities for wind sheltered spots.

We will come knock on your door for sure! ;)

Everyone be sure to bring their own chairs. We will circle the wagons (literally) and meet in the middle to see if that will help with wind shelter. OR Jumbo OHV staging area might be calmer (?) since there's some hills between it and the main valley.

So forecast says it will drop between 65-60 tonight about the time we are at the park. Winds are supposed to be 8 MPH coming from the west. Ryan has graciously offered his shop as an alternative meeting place if ya'll would rather stay out of the cool winds.

Speak up here or on Facebook.

We are south of the main park if anyone is looking for us.

Nice seeing those of you who made the meeting! Nice 40 @MountNGoat !

Upcoming events to going onto the calendar:
  1. Cruisers & Coffee July 3rd + Jumbo Grade Trail to Virginia City.
  2. Crawler Club Run on Rubicon in August (date TBD). 35's, armor, winch, and at least a rear locker required for this one. Drivers will need rock stackers, so plenty of opportunities for passengers.
  3. Georg Esterer's FJ45 run (all rigs welcome) in September. Steve can give more info on this one since I think he's been.
  4. Q4 Overnight trip the weekend of October 9th to Mt. Patterson / Lobdell Lake.

Regarding 3., I spoke with Georg this morning and the run is happening but will be very low key, no raffle, just a great time in a great place at the end of the Sourgrass trail on the North Fork Stanislaus River. It's a great family event! There's also the option to go run the nearby Slickrock trail, and people usually do. The trail head is located here:

38°19'19.4"N 120°12'56.0"W

38.322050, -120.215542

And the camping is at the end of the road here (although there is some camping prior to the end and the harder spots in the trail):

38°20'37.3"N 120°11'44.8"W

38.343680, -120.195766

Some pics from past years at the end of the road ...
