Ali, what are your plans for the 20-24? Is it open to others? I have family coming on July 28, so we're out of that weekend.

I'll be up joining in with Ali.

I coming out from Chicago - Ali throws a great wheel'n event and I only pay him $6.53 to register and that includes use of his on board air compressor. Oh wait, he is coming out in a sweet 97 40th Anniv ed. cruiser rather than "in need of a diet" over weight 96 Cruiser so I guess there will be no compressor. Coming out in the motorhome dragging a new 07 4 door Rubicon. Should be a blast.

See you there. I saw a lifted 4 door rubi the other day with larger tires. Looked pretty good.

Thus far, I have done sliders with stips (shrockworks), LOD front bumper with Warn winch, and a couple of minor techie things (CB, etc). For now I will stay away from the lift. I mainly wheel on 01 Cheerokee.

Looking forward to meeting you. I have done the sileverton area trails a couple of times - great scenery - not to hard core - just the way I like it.

Ali,

Are you planning to stay at one of the RV Parks/Campgrounds in Silverton or a hotel?

Marc

Marc,

We'll be staying at Red Mountain RV & Campground in Silverton. http://www.redmtmotelrvpk.com/

Silver Summit campground is right next door and another campground is at the other end of town.

who is going?

so at this point, who do we have coming to the HDC official trip dates of the last weekend?

There's no way I'm going to have enough time between now and then to replace the axle seal and brake pads that are toast so I'm definitely out.

If you get the parts, I can guarantee you that you and I can have them done in one day.

If that will let you go on the trip, let me know. I'm happy to lend a hand.

With the new job I have no vaca so we're out - still planning for Moab in Oct, though.

Thanks for the offer Onur. It's that 'one' day that I'm in short supply between now and then. I have too many excuses why I can't/shouldn't go, despite really wanting to go. And with Greg and Rory bailing, I think that may only leave Vince. Are you planning to go? I know Ali going up there a week before our 'official' run, along with Graham and a friend from somewhere east. I saw James (AKA Cruiser 60) from Texas post that he was planning to make the trip. Vince and James makes enough to call it a run, right?

Marc

I am planning to attend. Anyone else besides Vince & James interested?

i'm working on it. i couldn't get the time off work as vacation, so i would have to do shift trades or such to do it.
my hobby work load is higher than one might expect. that's one reason why i've been slow getting the tcase back in. i am working on a new venture to make some extra $ to pay for at least my harmonica obsession. it is taking a bit of time to get it off the ground.

there's still a chance i can be ready.

I don't think the Cruiser gods want htis trip to happen. I just got put on the on-call list for next week. (I requested this weekend) I am trying to trade with someone else but it is not looking good. I will know by Thursday if I am able to trade.

Here's something to throw some of you off.

For those of you who are still interested in getting up to Colorado this month, how about a trip on the Holy Cross trail? You'd want to at least have a rear locker and 33's, otherwise people in F250's could follow. It's rated as a 8/10 on the Colorado "hardness" scale, with the last mile a 9/10. Good scenery, camp spots and a hot shower await...

Thought I'd throw it out there.

no, not amway.:flipoff2: an acoustic blues duo or trio for restaurant/coffee house type gigs.

anyway, i just got an opportunity for a training class that i really want to do for work too. it's the 26-27th. not looking good for me either.
