Order complete. Thank you, Brian, for persevering on this! Not ignoring, just surviving. The caps arrived earlier this week. Still waiting on sockets... this might be my last run of them, too much BS and it isn't fair to you folks. If anyone wants a cap, you can buy starting Monday, but you will have to source your own socket.
Getting everything ready to do oil change as soon as the Jowett filter housing and socket arrives. Can the Jowett socket be used to remove the original Toyota housing or do I need to get a different socket to remove original Toyota housing?Any sharp corner 2 1/2" with 1/2" drive will do. I tend to supply KD Tools and Performamce Tools sockets as they look good and hit the price point. There are some slightly nicer looking units, but they are difficult to find and 2 - 3X the price. At that price point, a real forged socket can be had.
Same here... I’ve been dreaming about doing a clean-easy oil changeGetting everything ready to do oil change as soon as the Jowett filter housing and socket arrives. Nope, the new socket will not do the stock filter housing. I hope you fellas also got the Fumoto drain valve for the oil pan?Same here... I’ve been dreaming about doing a clean-easy oil change
Thank you all for the quick response. About to order Fumoto, but looks like Jowett is using EZ drain. Any suggestions on which valve to get?Nope, the new socket will not do the stock filter housing. I hope you fellas also got the Fumoto drain valve for the oil pan?
From my research, it's the F103N
What's the difference? You suggesting swapping out the valves?
