I also thought that they were so silly until I had mine. It shows me the patch of pavement beside the front tire. So I can see the lane paint and know I'm in my lane. Simple.
^yeah it really is useful, I planned on removing mine before I got it but I use it everytime I drive.

I just saw this, thank you sir! it was an easy install since the fender was hollowed out.
Basically eyeballed it and I am off some inches from the oem placement. All good though, cheers!
