Shouldnt be a problem as long as the guy importing it titles it first.

With CA's new law, no it is not registrable in CA. It wouldn't matter if it was registered or titled in anyone else name first. Ill look in to it a bit more, but the last time i checked, diesels and 76 and older vehicles are no more for CA. Yes it is an automatic.

I'm pretty sure (99%) that is not the case. I was about to bring an title/register an HJ61 here a couple weeks ago. There are handfulls of people that do this all the time as well with no problems...
