I use mine daily, both on and off road, for my gardening business and am starting to wonder what the options are if/when the major mechanical bits fail.
Has anyone any information on such stuff as:
i) What I can easily replace the 4G53 engine with?
ii) How I can change the column change set-up currently installed to a floor change lever/box?
Apart from it's age this little Jeep is amasing and loads of fun even in the current relatively cold weather of -3 it makes me smile ever time I climb inside.
The only changes I've made is to have the head ground (as it had blown), a new soft top made, a bigger bench seat (I'm over 6ft) an overdrive fitted (from Herm The Overdrive Guy) I've replaced the originla 15" rims with 16" ones, I've replaced the original van style doors with a tail gate from a Series Landrover and because spares aren't easy to get I replaced the rear indicator lenses with ones from a Suzuki motorbike.
Any help will be very much appreciated.
