Just wait. These guys will play hardball. If I were him, I'd

    1) detonate an underground nuke if I had one.

    2) Threaten nuclear technology proliferation to Syria and Lebanon if the UN imposes sanctions.

    3) Test-fire the biggest, baddest rocket I have.

    4) Mass all my troops on the Iraq border as part of war games, just to get everyone's attention ('cause that's what I really want anyway)

    5) Have a massive press conference at my nuke facility to show Iran how they thumb their noses at the UN.

    6) Rearm Hezbollah, just to piss everyone off, and not be too subtle about it.

    7) Re-iterate threat to stop oil shipments through the straight if sanctions are imposed (even though this might cause economic hardship in reality to Iran).

    8) Get a haircut with my beloved-leader-friend, Kim Jong..

and what can the rest of the world do about this? Not much really... Europe lacks balls to do anything. The US is stretched pretty thin, and over the oil barrel, so-to-speak, and Israel is in a bit of a PR pinch these days...

There are only a couple of points that they actually aren't doing....

Most of the others appear to be occurring, they just aren't exactly being open about it right now....

and my personal rant of the day...THE FRENCH ARE PUSSIES

The UN route is looking more and more like the leadup to Iraq. The UN mandate won't have teeth because of the relationship Russia and China have with Iran.

It will be up to W to do something about it. The libs will agree, then when the bombing begins...they do a 180 and act like they have been against it from the start.

Remember the good ole days when Iran was to busy blowing the s*** out of Iraq and visa versa to disrupt the rest of the world.
Russia selling arms to Iran, the U.S. to Iraq. the Germans suppling chemicals so they could gas each other.
Yup those were the days , much simpler times back then.

Alternate possibility, expand the fast food market with the commercials to boot. Put three times the sugar in Coke products bound for Iran and increase white flour & sugar shipments to them. In 5-10yrs time they'll be too fat to put up a fight.
