After installing the MAF rear bumper with swing away tire carrier, i proceeded to hook up a set of new rear LED lights.

I have lots of issues with the truck lights now as follows

- Rear lights at least come on when the lights are turned on

- rear lights dont get brighter when the brakes are activated (lights on and off)

- front AND rear singnal lights do not work

Any hints to resolving this would be fantastic!~

Thanks, Colin

good luck

well if they worked before you should be able to get them to work pretty easly... since you mentioned they at least come on says your fuse and grounds are good and your getting power make sure the lights you have will support running power and a brake power you could test the lights with a v meeter or with your battery if they work test the wires that hook up to them...

The easiest way is to wire a trailer lights adapter between your original wiring and the new LED's. They can be had at Uhaul. Do a search, there has to be a thread on this.

Here's what I used for the same setup:
U-Haul moving supplies: U-Haul 4-Way Flat Piggyback
You will have to source something else for your reverse lights

of the 4 wires which get hooked up and which ones dont during the splice in ?

All of them need to be wired up. There is the running lights (green) Left turn (green/black) right turn (green/yellow) stop (green/red). It isn't clear how you hooked up the LEDs, but the brake, turn and running lights need to all be separate bulbs.
