I bought my 60 with an aftermarket starter. It came with the original, but the mounting bracket is broken. Is this something I could replace and remount?

You could likely find a non functioning starter and swap the internals.
I hate to say it but that would be a NO. Just get another unit and call it good.

X2 on replacing. And when you do go with a Toyota/Denso reman'd OEM starter. You have first hand experience on the sort of quality the aftermarket offers. Get the Toyota and worry no more.
