Had my truck up on jack stands today trying to chase down a grinding noise in my brakes and it feels like on of the rear brake shoes is sticking…had my son put it in drive while on the stands and noticed that only my passenger side wheels were spinning. Now, with our trucks being full time 4wd, shouldn’t all 4 wheels be moving?

No, that’s normal. Power will go to the path of least resistance. If you have the center diff locked, it will split power front to back, but still least resistance for each axle.

So all 4 tires were in the air while your son hit the gas and only the passenger front and passenger rear wheels spun?

Yes, just like he wrote: ;)

Perfectly normal for open diffs to bias to the path of least resistance.

IF the center diff had been locked and his vehicle had lockers (front and rear) engaged *Sans ATRAC* then all four wheels would be moving.
