So I was replacing the other upstream oxygen sensor today and noticed fresh oil collecting where I had wiped off a bunch of grime when replacing the driver’s side upstream O2 sensor a couple weeks ago. I looked all over to try to find the source but somehow I can’t spot it. What am I missing?

Attached are photos of the oily areas and the clean areas my mind wanted to check out first.

Thanks in advance!

This could be the front diff pinion leak. It is quite each to replace.

Looks like something I’ll have to pay a mechanic to do. I have a friend who is a shade tree mechanic and does good work.

I'd just make sure the front diff and T-case are full and let it ride. Maybe put in some some ATP205.
