Humor us, how much is he asking ?

It’s hard to hear but I would listen to your father on this one. Walk away, there will be other opportunities.

Yup. Dad mighta seen a thing or two, and now knows a thing or two.

Hard pass at any price. Personally, I would not want to f#ck about with that amount of rust even to part it out for some cash

Great donor to help you acquire money to build a better rig.

Would not waste money on making this a reliable street or trail driver. Unless you'll run it as is till the wheels fall off.

I literally mean as is. Unwash it. ;)

My take: I would also pass, given the availability of other options. But coming from the 60 series section this is somewhat par for the course as far as older cruisers go. While they may not necessarily do it with a smile on their face, a lot of guys work with worse

@The80Cruiser : worth maybe $500-1000 if you have room to store it but only to use for parts that aren't destroyed by rust (glass, interior parts, trim, lamps, engine, electrical parts, driveline bits---).

A few years ago I hesitated (24 hours) on a $900 FZJ80 with a recently replaced HG that ran great but had some body damage and not so great interior. Didn't have room to store/park it at the time so passed. Some one else grabbed it the next day.

Rust on older cruisers? Nah, character!!
