Hi everyone,
Looking to install a tank style recirculating heater that installls off the block train on my 12ht. I don't know enough about it to install it myself. Does anyone know of a good shop in either the bc interior or the lower mainland that doesn't run and hide when I mention it's an 88hj61vx? I'd like to get it done before the end of october.

Not too many like the tanik stlye heaters here, not sure why. But they say the lower rad hose stlye work better.

For that ANY shop should be able to help you. Go to Canadian tire and they have a shelf full of different sizes, cut and splice it in.

But if you go lower stlye wait a few days worth of driving before using, as if you got a air pocket in there you could fry it. That was a warning I read on the Mercedes parts forum where they sell kits for those engines. Not sure if a 12h-t can have an air pocket there or not......

I drop by Ateb quite often and they have plenty of 61's go through there. Ateb will also do custom work at quite reasonable prices.

In addition to ATEB:

I know Tony of AllToy in Kamploops has some experience with the JDM engines, swaps and such. Might be worth a call. http://alltoy4wd.com/home.html

Ciaran Wilson of Cruiserland in Langley. Master Toyota Tech, weened himself away from Toyota and is doing his own thing. Has a faithful list of customers who followed him from the dealer. 604-514-3716. Growing knowledge base with JDM stuff.
