All of the wooden trim in the 2003 LX470 feels fake, except for the wood on the steering wheel. Is that correct?

Has anyone tried replacing the trim with real wood (assuming it is fake)?

Came across this and wish we could do something similar..

It is real, very thin, but real.

My understanding is that it is real walnut, a type that is rare in the US, and was probably sourced from China. I know this is the case for the LS, but I’ve read it about the LX as well.... Lexus wanted to step up their wood trim game, so they turned to the Yamaha piano company for help. So the wood is real, it’s walnut, and I think it was selected by Yamaha. Correct me if I’m wrong.

It’s real... and it’s spectacular!
