I'm new to this forum and a prospective used LC200 buyer. I spent some of my childhood being driven by my parents in a 80 series and they have always had a place in my heart. I'm getting ready to list my 07 Escalade (100k miles and used as a get to work car), my 08 Ram (Bilsteins, Method wheels, 33" Yoko ATS and Total Chaos UCAs) and my boat to afford a 08 LC200. The Escalade was a previous rental I picked up really cheap and surprisingly hasn't skipped a beat wheras the Ram I bought brand new and is on jackstands in my driveway more than it is on the road. I'm hoping the Land cruiser will serve the duties of both a DD and a light offroader.

Used LCs are really expensive given the mileage and they don't depreciate at all. I've been looking for the past 4 months. Now that the facelifted LC is out and on showroom floors, would now be the best time to get a 200 in terms of condition, mileage and depreciation? I was hoping that there would be a drop in used prices once a facelift came out but it hasnt. I know it is hard to say but will that point come in the next 6 months?

I live in the Metro Detroit area and I'm going to look at this one on Tuesday Battle Creek, MI 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser V8 Certified SUV Kalamazoo, MI Grand Rapids, MI Sunshine Toyota If I did actually pull the trigger, I know friends and fam will say I am an idiot for buying a 4-5 year old 66k mile SUV for 40-44K!

The best time to buy a 200 will be when the next LC comes out. But so far, now would be the time to buy one. the 300(?) is not coming out in the next 6 months, so go snag that land cruiser for cheap.

There is never a wrong time, except maybe when you're from Detroit.
