I knew one of my frames was bent pretty good so I took it to the frame shop. They called after they put it on the machine and told me it's likely going to cost around $1000. It needs the rear diagonal braces replaced but is solid other than that. My question is, is it worth the cost? Looking for opinions. I'd rather not junk it but i do have another frame.

Do you you have a title for it? Imo, the ID plates and title help create value. I think there are folks making the diagonal braces along with other parts of the frame.

I had a tweaked frame straightened a number of years ago and it was just a few hundred bucks. Nothing needed replacing. Given the price of these trucks I reckon it is worth it if you are doing a resto.

If you have a title for it and it came with a vin tag. I am sure it would have value for someone willing to fix it. I wouldn’t scrap it.

What year is the frame ? And frame number ?
It's a 76 frame but it didn't come with the title. I bought the basket case for parts and was going to swap the body and good parts off of my 74 just so i had a rolling chassis ready to go.

It got hit pretty hard, i didn't think it was as bad as it actually was because the cowl was the only thing other than the drivetrain on it. The frame shop said its got tweaks in a few spots. I'll probably fix it, get it galvanized like i wanted to do and get it going.
