Looking at a truck for my son... below is CL ad, truck is in Texas. Looks nice in the pictures Thanks. ML

"For sale is this 2004 Toyota Tacoma. It is an extended cab white exterior with tan interior. It has an after market stereo, tinted windows and is bed-lined with a reasonable amount of wear. It has a standard 5-speed transmission with 169K miles. This rig has been very well maintained with royal purple in both diffs, full synthetic oil changed every 4k miles for years and new plugs around 10k ago. It has an Old Man Emu lift (3") with an added leaf which gives roughly 4" total. It's sitting on 33X10.50 BFG KM2's with 90% life still in them and they are mounted on all black Pro Comps. This truck runs great, has no lights on for engine service and has a towing hitch plus wiring, if one were so inclined. These are hard to come by and worth every penny."

That's a great truck close to what I had when I had a taco I wish I had never sold it

I would check the front cv boots for tears or leaking grease with lift more than about two inches the fins touch and rub holes for grease to get out. I ended up lowing my adjustable lift to 2 in when I got tired of replacing them.

The 3.4 is a great motor I think timing belt is every 80-90k so I would get that done if you do. Maybe a negotiating point.

It's a lot but they are selling for a lot when people list them.

just re looked. It doesn't have the more desirable trd package that has the elocker and it has the push button on the tcase shifter which some don't like because it can be a failure point. Don't quote me but I think it actuates the front diff. I had the j shifter which didn't have the button so I'm not well versed in it. It's not a big deal but make sure the 4x4 locks into place when checking to see if it works. Before buying and if it doesn't negotiate a few hundred off.

I would think offering 10,500 would be a good starting point if that's in your price range for him.
Paint looked nice with my bad eyes on my ipad

Basically a twin of my 2002 SR5. Love the little beast. Anything under $12,000 is a deal IMHO.

Here is my Taco at Katemcy - Lone Star Land Cruiser Roundup a couple of weeks ago - with two Harrop elockers, Skid Road plates, White Knuckle Offroad Sliders, ICON Stage II, KMIIs, etc. and a vinyl wrap. Great little wheeler/shop truck.
