Any pros/cons to either kit?

I’m thinking the nitro charger OME with 2721s on the rear...

"The majority of shock absorbers on the market are twin-tube design shocks. This style of shock has an outer oil chamber surrounding the main tube. The piston works similarly to a mono-tube shock with the addition of an extra valve in the base of the shock that allows fluid to pass into the outer oil tube. The hydraulic oil and gas are together in the same outer chamber, which once the shock starts working hard can cause some aeration or foaming. To combat this foaming effect, some manufacturers install a material barrier to limit the oil and gas blending. Foam is a material that is most commonly used in the top section of the outer tube cavity. The foam cell is designed to capture stray gas bubbles and keep them from mixing with the oil. The Tough Dog shocks that we tested were foam cell designed twin-tube shocks. Small gas-absorbing bags, known as gas cells, are also used by some manufacturers and are designed to capture any rouge gas particles in the outer tube to keep them separate from the oil. The Raw Nitro Max shocks we tested utilise this gas cell design in its twin-tube shock."

It's my understanding that nitro shocks will fade as they get hot as the oil in them aerates. Foam cell are supposed to be more resilient to this. That said I've read that nitro shocks will eventually go back to normal as they cool, whereas if you really exceed the capability of a foam cell the cell breaks down a too high a temp.

Note: I went with 45mm adjustable Tough Dog shocks, which are foam cell. They're not king/icon/whatever but the 41mm non-adjustable kit was fairly close to OME and Ironman cost and the 45mm was only a few hundred bucks more, and I'm quite pleased with their performance.

For a discount option, Summit Racing has front TJM Gold shocks on clearance for $26 each. Because of this, I figured what the heck and went all TJM.

No they are the 17” TRD Rock warrior wheels, just powder coated black. When I was trying to find a set of used rock warriors for a looooong time I considered doing the Tundra 18’s as they were much easier to find.

Yeah I got them used of Craiglist in Phoenix a coupe years ago and they actually came already painted so I dig they are a little different. The caps are just stickers but they look well done. They had silver bead lock rings but i plasti dipped those black.

I just now ordered a set of 4 on eBay for a grand. I plan to have them powder coated like yours and like I did on a set of 4Runner wheels I put on my Tacoma. Where did you score those stickers, I like the look or I could leave them original like on this photo.

Wrong like chrome, or wrong like not splined? Yeah these were free so that’s about all I can say about them. I heard so many negative comments about the TRD splined set and they are so expensive . Ideally someday I’ll swap out for black McGuard conical splined

@DPA200 You have the "Rock Warrior" wheels (with TRD spline drive lugnuts) that came with the Tundra Rock Warrior package. They're not too expensive if you look locally on Craigslist. You can find a set for ~800-850 if you look around. After checking Craigslist for a while, I picked up a second set a few hours away for $600. They are the only forged 17" wheel you can get for this platform. The only other wheel I'd consider are the 17" Hutchinson Beadlocks and those are much more expensive.

But compared to the oem alloy 18" ebay take off wheels that sell for practically scrap value, they are more expensive.

I can't give you a comparison between Ironman and OME, but have had my Ironman on for 5 years and 70k miles and still really like them. For the money they can't be beat, but OME may be just as good. This is just a thumbs up for Ironman.

Oh believe me, I’m aware of exactly what I have, I spent about 6 months tracking CR to find these. They do pop up fairly often (less the past year), but they also do usually sell within hours at least in the Phoenix area. Several deals I missed out in just because I wasn’t the 1st person to get there even in same day they were posted. Low supply very high demand especially as 200’s are growing in popularity on the used marked. I did finally score for $600. Easy to find often on EBay but usually prices from $1200 as high as $2500 from people who already know they are in demand. Regarding the lugs (which I will replace at some point) , these may be the “wrong style” but they are perfectly safe. Toyota’s installed these here. The lugs are conical seat with the correct threading and length, they just done have the splined ridges which is just protects from theft better.
