I've got a 1982 BJ42 and want to upgrade the suspension and I see a good price for the Ironman 4x4 two inch lift with nitro gas shocks. I'm not trying to build a rock crawler, just want a good suspension for mostly paved roads with some light offroad capability. I would like to hear from anyone that has had this system installed in the last 3-4 years. The kit comes in at about 1/2 the price of the OME equivalent. Thanks for your input.

I have it on my 40 installed 5ish years ago. I have been happy with it.

It lifted my truck more than 2". Looks like the 2" was above the stock height as delivered, not after 40+ years of use. Fits the 33s I run nicely.

My use case is basically the same. Though I only put on the new front shocks.

The ride quality is better when loaded. My big road trip from L.A. to Boulder had the back of the 40 fully loaded with heavy cargo and it was great. I have an ARB bull bar on the front and haven't noticed a significant difference on the front suspension ride quality since installing the bull bar last fall.
