I got the Ironman premium bumper for my 2008. Going to work on getting it installed this weekend. For those who have done one (or the ARB). What is the best tool for Cutting the plastic bumper cover?

I used an Angle grinder with a cut off wheel and an oscillating multi tool. If you don’t have an oscillating multi tool they have them at Harbor freight for like 30 bucks

I used a oscillating multi tool. I am also sending a pm.

+1 on multi tool. The 270 circle shaped blade

Is this like a Sonicrafter?

Examples . . . any will do

Whatever you do, DON'T TOUCH THE PLASTIC THAT YOU JUST CUT UNTIL IT COOLS

As you cut it, it will be extremely hot. I had a piece fly onto my thumb and used my index finger to wipe it off. burned both fingers = blisters on hour 1 of install

EDIT: added pics

Hi quick question how long did it take to get to you. I ordered mine a week ago still no update on their website I called and they said they’re backed up. TIA

Is that blue thing one of those Harbor Fright jack stands? I think I see now why they have been recalled.

LOL! Thats the most functional tool in my garage.- my brisket cooler. Always finding a new use for it!

Held up the bumper mounting cradle just long enough for me to bolt it in place.

They were in stock when I ordered. They called me the day after I placed the order online to find a terminal near me. Took 9 days to make it from Oregon the the UPS freight terminal here in Charleston S.C.

So you don't have to pull the whole front end apart to cut it? Did you mark it and cut it in place after taping off and marking it with the template? Also, I read that you have to drill holes for the parking sensors. Do they just pop in? Also, any ore pics would be appreciated! I've done all kinds of craziness to my 40 and 62 but i have to admit I'm a little nervous about taking a cutter to the front of the 200.

@scott johnson
I removed the bumper entirely from the body. I also removed the grille. It comes off as one big piece if you take it apart the way the instructions say you should.

I taped the template on the bumper and marked it off with a grease pencil
The body panels clip in. They have these little plastic tabs that you push down with a screwdriver and then you separate whatever the two components are

Installation is almost identical step-by-step between the two brands. ARB instructions give you MUCH more specifics on gaps from body panel to bumper , torque specs, etc.

Also look for the PDF install Instructions on the ARB bumper.

One thing the instructions don’t tell you is you need to trim the little scoop that divert air to the transmission cooler. ARB instructions have a template for that Iron Man you have to wing it. I cut little by little until it worked just right
