Former lurker, now happy owner of a new-ish stock 1998 Toyota Land Cruiser with only 290k, looking forward to the next 300k.
I need to replace the tires soon, and I like the BFG TAs that are on there now; I do more freeway riding than mud crawling, (which is mostly in my driveway) and they are quiet. I am thinking of going a little wider, I don't want to add lift.
Would I need to add a spacer to fill out the wheel wells and get a wider wheel? Bad idea?
Any wheel/tire retailer recommendations in the 07644 or 12783 areas where I keep the truck?
