Intro

Hi,
I've been lurking for ages .....
Brief intro : 1984 BJ45 3B .... stock mechanicals ... 12L/100kms ... 110km/h downhill with a tailwind ... so tempted to add the turbo ... owned her 15 years!... done 170000kms ... rebuilt the starter, new glowplugs and rad core.
I'll post a pic on Monday since I can't remember having seen too many flatdecks on here.

I've followed the 3B turbo threads for some time and have, in the past, got a price for an AXT. I am tempted to DIY but the BJ is my daily ride so can't handle much downtime, might have to be a Xmas project, or perhaps I should finish the kitchen renovation

DIY is going to be downtime. Nothing is perfect and it takes time to do. And many trips to the store. But you save a bundle doing DIY

One of the young mechanics at the local garage I have used for 15 yrs is going to DIY turbo his 3B. After he has learnt a few lessons I'll get him to help me with mine.<<g>>
