Hello everyone,
I'm a Texan living in Spain who recently bought my first Toyota vehicle...
A 1988 BJ73 with an Italian VM 5 cylinder engine that's only got a little over 98K miles (158k km). The truck is completely stock and I'm trying to keep it that way as I slowly bring it back to health.

The frame and body are excellent except for a bit of rust on the windshield frame. The engine seeps oil from pretty much everywhere, it's got individual heads on each cylinder which heat at different rates so can cause warping. Other than that, it runs great and it's got good power.
I've replaced the brake master cylinder, rear wheel cylinders and shoes, power steering pump and soon the fuel pump.
It's fun to drive and smells like work!

If the Lada had been in good shape, that would have been cool to import🙂
It was new! A 2013 version but besides having a terrible build quality it's also really small. I'm 6'1" and even with the seat all the way back it was still a tight fit. I loved driving it though, it was like a go kart you could tear off the rode and head straight through the mountains!
