Someone started this thread in the 40 series forum, since i own a 24V rig and i have the same requirement i'll ask here. Did anyone found a way to get ajustable intermittent wiper on there rig 24V rig?
Its really a pain...

You need a 24v timer/relay. It would take doing some neat wiring. With it's own switch and a rheostat to control the timer. I think.

There is not going to be a quick fix for this.

Ah, there is one way... I have intermittent wipers on my 1981 BJ44 from Japan/NZ. Basically I have an OEM switch with three detents, INT, Slow and Fast wipe. maybe you could try to find the relay and switch from a 4X with this setup and swap it in... Keep in mind that I cannot adjust the intermittent delay. Maybe it was added with the compound drivers (rhd) wiper arm that I have also.

You have a dash knob or steering column arm?

Kraig, try to find the OEM part # on the switch or/and relay. Maybe eleblanc can get it in a Toyota dealer...

Maybe...

in my old truck i had the same problem, i added a momentery foot switch left of the clutch. still a bit of a pain but much less than using the dash switch.

I'll try to take a look for the part number today...

As a note, it is in the dash and looks exactly like the one without the INT setting. There are no markings, it just works that way.

If anyone has their EPC (mine is down until my laptop gets back from repair) it may show up if you look up my truck. The frame number to get the correct info is bj44-0002769 and it is an early 1981. It will only show up if you use the Japanese disk as my truck is JDM.

I'll let you know what I find in the meantime.
