Intermittent Oil Light coming on. (1 Viewer)

Quick question for the knowledgeable, the oil light came on in mama's 1HZ yesterday. I added about 1lt (about a quart) of oil and seems ok. Does the diesel engine oil light also work off of a float in the sump as per the petrol engine?

I think you should double-post this into the diesel section as well. You may get a faster answer there.

Thx for the response. Light still doing a disco dance on a run to town and back. Stopped at the local fundi who reckons the diesel also has a float system same as the peteol versions. Reckons it might just be a dirty or loose connection. I'll get her over the pit this weekend.

Unplug the sensor and see if that stops it.
