Intermittent exhaust leak? (1 Viewer)

I have a quick question about a possible exhaust header leak. I actually get a noise sometimes when the engine is cool, but when it happens when I’m stopped at a light, I put it in neutral and it goes away.Wouldn’t an exhaust leak make noise until the engine heats up? Can the radiator fan adapter make noise? Thanks for the help.

Check your exhaust cats.. the insulators (heat shield) they get loose over time and rattle when in gear and stop when in neutral.
