Should have been titled HEADLINER TEMPLATE. The old fabric top on the interior of my hardtop finally gave way. I took it off sanded the roof and will be placing a new one. What a PITA dust everywhere. Does anyone know of a template that may be out there to use to cut the fabric to scale?
Here are some pics

Should have titled post "headliner template". I'm sure its gotta be out there, did you try search?

I used indoor/outdoor carpet on mine. My top was off so I flipped it upside down. I then just trimmed to fit and glued it in. If I recall it was abot $15.00 plus 3M contact adhesive. 15 years ago and still looks good. I've seen a couple of tops sprayed with white bed liner type stuff that looks real good.

looks good, really like the storage shelf.

I just went to main page of 40-55 forum...page one, then I put in search "headliner dimension". It searched all posts that related to those words. Hope it the headliner goes in well for you. I still need to do mine as well but bigger fires to put out ;)

Thanks again. It would be great if this was all that had to be done! I was actually looking for a template that was already precut to the headliner dimensions so I could lay the fabric over, trace and cut out. I figure somebody out there has got to have one. Would be a great item to sell for someone with the means to do it.

You don't need a template. The only lap cuts you will have to make are in the forward corners. Turn your lid upside down and do it to it.
yeah was hoping for a way to do without taking lid off. I am totally leak proof right now and i know as soon as i take it off I am going to see the need to buy new weatherstripping.
