Interesting old Warn... W8000 D1 W with American Bosch motor (1 Viewer)

Pulled off a legendary old camper truck in Zimbabwe. Motor looks much larger then other 8000 pound winches I have seen pics of. Also, only has 2 terminals!? Anyone seen one of these before?

Restoring to put in front on 100 series.

Does the soleniod box control both retrieve/run-out, or is it a single polarity & freespool is the only way to peel line?

I know a local guy who vendors DC motors that are higher duty-cycle than the motor a Warn M-series comes with, plug / play - but I know they aren’t Bosch.

Not knocking Bosch, just saying heard of other motors used esp for those KOH winches that are mainly custom CNC & electrics.

Interesting unit you have, motor looks very clean!
