Interesting late model factory seat belt differences (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know if the driver side and passenger side seat belts are supposed to be different. See attached picture. The driver's side has the shorter attachment point, while the passenger side has the longer one. Has anyone seen this before?

Numbers on the bucket are the same for either side.

Yes, mine are exactly like that. 12/79 build date, titled as 1980.
