Not really sure the FS gives a poop about a newpaper poll. Interesting problem. Doesn't the Sierra Club understand that their folks use the mountain too? Don't they understand they could also be locked out? Dumb short-sighted farts.

Go there and vote no. The Greenies are gaining ground. From 68% at 1 PM to 58% at 8:30 PM.

I would have to think that this area has a much more broad base of usage of public lands than in Cali. Kicking all the ranchers, miners, hunters, 4 wheelers, skiers, hikers, equestrians, etc. off an entire mountain is orders of magnitude greater than barring rock climbers from a rock face. And this is Grants, ferchrissake - I doubt the Sierra Club really has any sort of major support on the ground there. Still, a need for vigilence...
