I will be putting 33's on my truck with J springs. As of recently, I've been hearing stories of people loving these tires and some people hating them. I don't care about tread life but worry more about the tires being true and not shaking.

Anyone have any experience with them here?

I've run almost every major MT but was thinking of giving these a shot.

Thanks

Hey I as well have heard good and bad. One of my good friends has some on his tahoe and he likes but they wear like all get out. But I guess you said that doesn't matter. I have heard people will buy them and they won't feel right on the road but don't quote me. Actually I was just wondering why you are putting J springs on with 33's and not go with 35's? Just curious cause most with 33's go with ome 2.5.

Looking for a tire that will last 1-2 years. At that point I will regear, run 35's and will be in CO. After the cost of the truck, new tires, lift, bull bar...I don't have the loot to regear. I think that 4.88 is an overkill with 35's here in VA but will be fine in CO.

Yeah I here ya. You should try them out. They are pretty soft but you will like them. They should last you a year.

I just put on 285's and have been pretty impressed. They have a hum, but not very bad and seem to ride well. I have not used them off road.

It apparently took something like 8 oz of weight to balance each tire.

I personally like them for a trail radial, but hated them for a daily driver. Hard to keep balanced, wear quickly, (may last 30 k miles if you are lucky). They flat spoted on me in the morning, almost like my bias plys. There is some one on this list that has good luck with them. I have a set of 35 16in rim for sale if you want them 300 for the set. you pay shiping. later robbie

I have a set of 33's. I like them. Mostly used as a DD tire but has seen agressive trail use. Off road i love them. In the slick muddy clay of uwharrie, they did awesome. I did have one that pulled a little when they were new, but now has gone away. They do wear a little quickly, but not too bad. I have been surprised though, i have not been back to the tire store to have them rebalanced, they have remained true after over 17,000 miles.

i just drove a set of 35" from Calgary to San Diego and the tires were very quiet and shoed absolutly no wear also they performed great off road...
just my experince
cheers

Thanks...that info was exactly what I was looking for...no hijacking...no bull****.

I'll try them and report back.

I'll throw this in there:

Two good friends and wheelin buddies (read: I see them every day-not a friend of a friend etc) both run a set of 33" TrXus M/T's on their rigs. (Tahoe and F150)

They both wore quickly, each got/will get about a year out of a set. They have gotten progressively louder as they've worn (louder than the swampers on my 40).

One friend has had one leaking for several months.
The other has had two tires with side lugs that delaminated from the sidewall.

My impression (judging from my two friend's experience) is that overall, an OK tire, seen worse (procomp) but they would not be my first choice.

My $.02

ive been running 31x10.50's since 9/27/03. so far they have seemed better than I expected. there is some noise, more than an at for sure. wear seems decent.

offroad they work very well (least in comparison to bfg at's) I was in a spot this fall that I probably wouldnt have made it out of with at's. chains might have helped :). I havent wheeled the piss out of it so to speak, so the lugs probably havent recieved as much wear as they would rockcrawling or heavy wheeling. mostly fire trails, etc. in the mountains, and a lot of highway miles.

I would get them again, but probably in a bigger tire.

picture was taken today. with aprox. 35,800 miles on them.
