I have search multiple threads looking for instruction on how to remove the Input Shaft Bearing on a 3 speed transmission. Most threads I've found pertain to the 4 speeds and not the three speeds. I have the tranny out and a spare for parts but cannot figure out how the bearing comes out. Any instruction and or pics of the process is appreciated

The bearing comes off the shaft the same way any bearing does: It is a press fit. Use a press, a puller or a hammer to get it off.

A related issue is how to get the shaft out of the tranny. Some transmissions require removal of the counter shaft before you can remove the gear.

All this is covered in detail in the FSM.

Do I need a slide hammer?
