Anyone have a loose 4/5-speed transmission out of their rig and can take a measurement for me? Need how length from the face of the transmission to the end of the input retainer (the surface the throwout bearing rides on).

For a transmission set up to go behind an F/H series motor please!

Thanks!

My 1983 4 speed measures 1 inch

Thanks, though I need to the end of the tube (not the input shaft itself). It looks like your picture shows 2-7/8 - 3"?

Thanks for the picture. :)

I need to make sure my NV4500 input retainer tube is not too long, it is 4.5" but it also goes through a 0.75" adapter plate and the thickness of the bellhousing, around 0.25-0.5". So I should be good, thanks!

Sorry, my bad. End of tube is 3-5/8 inches from tranny face
