As I will be swapping out my 4-speed + T-case for a H55F + new T-case i will have the 1s i pull outta my '87 60 with aprox 200k original miles. I have no plans to rebuild either and would like to offer both in classifieds for a "fair MUD price". I have ZERO idea whats fair. #Thanks!

You and me both on what’s fair, but if you want to see them live on in another rig I have a home for them

transmision is worth zero dollars-$100
transfer case $4-500 with no linkage $5-600 with linkage as long as it is in good condition

Don't mean to throw water on the fire, but I'll just add I'm in a fairly Cruiser-rich locale, and it took me years to give away two good condition 60-series H42s. One of which was low miles. Even the Cruiser dealers around here didn't want them ... Finally, one is running around town in @Dynosoar FJ40 ! There's just very little demand with most removed for 5 spd swap, like you.

The T'case, unless you've got someone local who can pick up, is gonna be hard to get $400 because of shipping costs... Most Private Party sales are around $250-ish, depending on cond, rust, etc.

Are you willing to ship the T'case separately? That will be your best bet, plus, it has to be packed VERY well, as one I had shipped to me got destroyed in transit when the gears were loose and banged around inside the case, chewing up everything.

GL!

About four years ago I sold a near-pristine H42/split transfer case with 126,000 miles, complete with shifters/linkages, for $500 here on MUD. The buyer and I met in Santa Fe (behind the Toyota dealer) and slid it from one FJ60 tailgate to another.

Remember how many manual steering boxes for FJ40s were thrown away, in years past? Still worth keeping this stuff if you have the space for it.
