Hi, two admittedly dumb questions. First, what do you guys use to lube injector O rings? The FSM says to use gasoline, but internet folklore says that's a terrible idea, lol. And others say use motor oil, dielectric, spit...Thinking maybe this is one of those things where anything will work, but the fact that the FSM says suggests they don't want anything left behind, so now I'm scratching my head.

Also, when I unscrewed the pulsation damper I dumbly first undid the little screw that goes on top. Does it do anything, like adjust it, or just hold it together?

I followed the FSM and did use gasoline to lube the new o-rings. Whether that’s the best or not, I have no idea.

Thanks, seems like the smartest thing to just follow the manual. Did you fit them into the fuel rail then all into the manifold at once, or the other way round?

Anyone know about the pulsation damper? I know it's supposed to pop up, but wondering if that screw preloads the spring and adjusts the pressure, or just engages the diaphragm and holds it all together. It's just acts like an anti water hammer deal in home plumbing right?

I put them in the rail first and then into the manifold (with new insulators).

the screw is nonadjustable and it is used to calibrate the damper at the factory.

That pretty well answers that, looks like I'm buying a new one. Exactly the info I needed though, thanks!
