Hello!
I am wondering if anyone knows of anywhere in the UK which has spare parts for landcruisers. I'm after a left front wing and the fibreglass trim, for a KZJ 70 '92.
Any help on here would be great, as I've just had shock on the quote from the local Toyota dealership!
thanks,
fred

This company in oz might be able to supply you with a FG wing also. Their FG flares are supposed to be close to Toyota's in looks.
They ship overseas last time I looked

Some companies ,probably Milners in the UK sell a wire reinforced rubber trim that looks great and lasts forever. It cost about $40 a corner in oz and comes in 1 and 2 inch width.
I plan on getting some myself

thanks Rosco for the heads up. My wings are not bolt ons, instead have been spot welded on. How common is this with landcruisers and is it an easy task removing/adding the wing? Cheers!

The smaller coil sprung landcruisers were the 1st models in 85. The 75 series, like mine, had them until 98
All models are welded now,its lighter and quicker to manufacture. Some cars even use an incredibly adhesive bitumous type glue.

To get them you normally grind or cut them without damging the surface to take the new one.
To put a new metal fender on you can hold it in place with clamps and weld tabs across.
Check with Toyota as they usually have some type of rubber sealant in between.

A new FG would probably have some overlap so it could be screwed into place and the joint coated with glass fibre and resin.

hey,
I'm going to settle for pulling out the dent in the wing, hasn't actually creased, just where I caught it was right on the brcket holding the wheel arch extension/ fender flare and so pushed in the wing! what luck.
Would love to find out where to get a new fibreglass extension from. Toyota charge 220 pounds for one in UK- way too much, and all the breakers I've called have none. Doh! any help would be great! otherwise it will be a patch up on the broken one.
Thanks,
Fred
