Most of y’all already know this, as we are connected on social media, but for those who don’t know, I just recently invested in and built a large Vapor Honing machine for motorcycle part restorations. That being said, I am also working on car parts for customers.

My cabinet is fairly large, and can accommodate things like motorcycle frames, sub frames, swing arms, and large car parts, such as transfer cases, intake manifolds, valve covers, etc.

If you are unfamiliar with the vapor Honing process, it is similar to sandblasting, but yields a much much more finished looking product. It especially makes soft metals, such as aluminum alloys and brass shine. It is also excellent for metal polishing before electroplating or painting. I am also able to do zinc plating, and zinc chromate, and use the vapor Honing as a way to prep the parts for an even finish.

When these parts come out of the cabinet, they look as good, or better than they did when they rolled off the assembly line. It’s really an incredible end result.

Also, I am finally getting the hang of zinc plating and zinc chromate plating. Those can be seen in the pictures as well

Here is a valve cover I did for @dnp, Along with some 60 year old F series sensors and fittings I had laying in my shop.

1fz heat shields. This jack Holder, out of a 1997 80 series I am working on, was covered in rust. The rust was inbedded in the plastic and the foam pads. Not only did this machine clean the rust, but did not harm the plastic or the foam.

Here is a 2F carburetor that I shot as well. Did not spend very much time on it, and could certainly make it shine more, but hopefully gives an idea of what it’s capable of.

Awesome! I’ve been ogling the work those machines do for some time now. Great to know you’re doing that, you’ll probably get some things from me sooner or later. Show us your vapor honing setup!
