Okay, so it looks like it'll be Frank, Seth, Dave W(for part of the day) and maybe Peter.

Looks like it'll be a good time.

9am this Sat and I'll email an address to those that need it.

Thanks guys.

btw, are you planning on doing the clutch and PP and flywheel and pilot bearing while everything is out ?

Yep! getting prices right now actually. probably won't be Toyota oem though. Not enough time to get it in time.

Get Aisin brand Clutch disc and pressure plate (Toyota OEM) and Koyo or NSK pilot, but the throw-out bearing from the dealer... The Koyo is not OEM and I haven't seen an aftermarket one as beefy as the Toyota one. You may want to get a new TO Bearing collar too if there's a lot of miles on yours. That's dealer item, too.

All Car Parts in Canoga Park can get them in a day. (or SOR or Mark A. or MAF)

You have an '86-87 ? Right ?

Thanks and yeah its an 87. I called Dan but can't get it until Monday without paying a lot for 2nd day.

Talked to someone there at Allcarparts. All they can get I the Sachs and Daikin brand. Anyone heard of these?

I think Sachs is German but don't know of the origin or quality.

I'd just go to a local dealer and ask for a TLCA discount ... Should be good for %10-15... They should be able to get 'em in a day or so or call Mark A.

Just an update...Parts are in at ETY. They say it's all Aisin except for one Koyo bearing.

I will PM those that have shown interest.

That's it for now.

Thanks again and see you guys Saturday

So I was researching this job a little more and it looks like a Torch might come in handy to take off the oil pan. I know there is a method that uses a block of wood and a bottle jack, but that takes a while.

Some have had success with some heat from a torch and having the pant come right off.

Anyone have a torch?

I also noticed that we I'm going to need a pilot bearing removal tool...anyone got one of those? If not, I think Autozone will rent them out. Just trying to get everything in place.

Thanks
